O blog nasce quando, ao terminarmos mais um belo encontro em torno da mesa, minha querida amiga Stella fala descontraidamente: “Tudo Dilucious”. Naquele momento sua intenção foi apenas fazer um trocadilho entre Dilu e Delicious.
Em um outro encontro gastronômico, Stella repete a mesma expressão. Aquilo me pareceu um sinal e decidi pesquisar. Imensa foi minha surpresa ao encontrar o significado da palavra no Google: “Há muito esquecido, Dilucious é o Deus grego do sabor. Ele abençoa todas as coisas saborosas e agradáveis ao paladar.”
Claro que quase cai… Como assim? Eu, Dilu, que amo todas as coisas do paladar, de repente me deparo com um deus dedicado especialmente aos sabores e com as mesmas iniciais do meu nome! Ah… Foi demais!
Ao buscar mais sobre este deus na mitologia grega, não encontrei nenhuma fonte que comprovasse sua presença na cultura grega ou na cultura latina. Entretanto, podemos sim associar o nome DILUCIOUS, ao nome LUCIUS, que por sua vez tem origem na palavra LUX – em português, LUZ …. E o paladar, a gastronomia é um verdadeiro FIAT LUX na minha vida ….
Por que e de onde saiu esta definição? Imagino, do fundo do meu coração, que a referência a esse “falso deus” foi enviado pelo Deus verdadeiro. O Dilucious me passou a ser tão mágico, que por seu intermédio surgiu o desejo de criar esse blog.
Creio no Dilucious e na licença poética. Assim, nesse blog de sabores, o que verdadeiramente importa é conseguir (e desejo que você também consiga) viajar na simbologia, na ilusão lúdica! Uma brincadeira dentro do amplo contexto que rege a gastronomia!

espalhe “bênçãos e luz” através de muitas coisas saborosas e agradáveis ao paladar!
P.S. FIAT LUX significa “Faça-se a luz” ou “Haja Luz”. É um termo bíblico, usado por Deus durante a criação do universo, quando criou a luz, a partir do nada. É uma metáfora que representa a origem do novo.
