Quer sofrer um impacto? Ou dois? Três ou mais, sei lá! Então, prepare-se. Para chegar a uns 50 km de Barcelona, é preciso (ai que sacrifício!!!) percorrer uma estrada linda, passar por pitorescos vilarejos e ser agraciado com cenários maravilhosos.

Monserrat… Quem serrou essa montanha? Obra tão portentosa só pode ser coisa do Senhor!

O grande, extraordinário, maciço rochoso, esculpido ao longo de milhares de anos, se eleva, majestoso, a 1.235 metros de altura sobre o nível do mar.

Seu contorno se parece com uma serra, gerando o nome Montserrat que, em catalão, significa “montanha serrada”.
.
.
Ok… dar de cara com esse imponente marco, localizado à direita de… claro, tinha de ter um rio pra completar a paisagem, né?
.

O percurso para chegar ao Monastério de Montserrat é feito através de um trem cremalheira ou de um teleférico, meios de transporte que conferem um charme especial ao passeio.

Nós optamos por pegar o bondinho que transporta até 20 pessoas, onde gastamos cinco maravilhosos minutos admirando vistas tão bonitas quanto vertiginosas.

Montserrat é referência das mais importantes na cultura da Catalunha, chamada “muntanya sagrada”, que na verdade, é uma formação rochosa.

Montserrat é um lugar de adoração a Deus. Para as pessoas de outras religiões, diz-se que a montanha é uma fonte de grande energia, um dos melhores lugares da Europa.

Existem trilhas que surpreendem com detalhes que testemunham a história do lugar. Eu preferi, antes de entrar no mosteiro, percorrer uma parte dela.

O mosteiro Beneditino, fundado ainda na Idade Média, 1025, foi uma das mais importantes paradas das peregrinações da Espanha durante vários séculos.

E o primeiro impacto mora nesse fato: como, naquele tempo, eles conseguiram tal façanha? Coisas do Senhor!

Um fenômeno imperdível, um conjunto rico de história, um patrimônio cultural, um parque natural único no mundo, um dos museus mais importantes da Espanha, um espaço de devoção com o mistério da fé, com a alegria da música, enfim, turismo que atende a todos os gostos – tudo num mesmo lugar.

No coração do mosteiro, destruído pelas tropas de Napoleão em 1811, mas graças a Deus, reconstruído em 1844, se encontra a Basílica.

A Basílica foi construída perto da gruta onde, diz a lenda, em 880 foi encontrada a imagem da Nossa Senhora de Monte Serreado, a La Moreneta, padroeira da Catalunha.

A capela românica foi construída para receber os peregrinos, tornando-se um dos santuários de maior prestígio na Catalunha e no mundo cristão.

Todo o entorno da nave foi ornamentado por diferentes castiçais… Uma coleção belíssima…

Não sou capaz de dizer quantos, e nem capaz de mostrar todos, mas posso mostrar o quanto são deslumbrantes…

Todos dependurados… parecem jóias pairando sobre nossas cabeças…

Joias doadas por cidades e associações catalãs. Coletivamente, eles representam a presença do povo da Catalunia aos pés de Santa de Montserrat.

Vou me calar um pouquinho e deixar as fotos falarem e mostrarem o deslumbramento desse lugar abençoado.

Meio envergonhada, devo confessar: de repente, vi uma fila e nela entrei, mesmo sem saber aonde ela nos levaria. Conversando com as pessoas é que ficamos sabendo do que se tratava.

Passamos por um pórtico ao lado direito da basílica que, antes de nos levar ao nosso objetivo, nos leva a uma profusão de maravilhosos detalhes.

Belos mosaicos…

Passamos por belos Anjos…

Por maravilhas que nem sei descrever…

Em seguida, subimos muitos degraus…

Só o teto desta escada já valia a fila (é preciso saber de tudo isso para incentivar, pois a fila normalmente é enorme).

E as paredes também… (afff!!! só de lembrar meu coração fica palpitando)

E lá… a Virgem Negra, padroeira da Catalunha, nos aguarda – que emoção mais esquisita sentimos!

… e emoção que quadruplica diante dela! Dizem que nossos pedidos são realizados quando, ao fazê-los, colocamos a mão na cabeça de seu filho.

Nas guerras, os franceses destruíram a maior parte da abadia, mas a imagem em madeira do Séc. XI de Nossa Senhora foi salva porque foi escondida na montanha. Na saída da basílica, olha que lindo, um corredor imenso com grandes pinturas, maiores que eu, formando orações…

E ainda nos esperava… pequenas barracas onde são vendidos produtos regionais.

Bem gente, pra quem aguenta mais… e pra quem tem tempo, existe a opção de assistir a uma projeção chamada “Espai Audiovisual Montserrat Portes Endins”, para conhecer melhor Montserrat: Montanha, Mosteiro e Santuário. E ainda, em um prédio do outro lado da Basílica, existe um museu, onde há muitas obras de arte de mestres como Caravaggio e Dali, doadas por ricos catalães. É considerado um dos melhores museus privados da Espanha, mas eu… não dei conta.
